Composer’s Thoughts

So this was a fine line I had to walk here, because the point isn’t about a woman who feels entitled to a man’s money. That’s not the point at all. It’s about effort, context, care, sharing, and reciprocity. Where “One Way Street” is a song from the male perspective, this is the same from the female POV. It’s about SHARING and CARING. The lyrics are very clear it’s not about her not giving back, but about the thought and effort of a good man who wants a loving partner.

Gianna’s Thoughts

This song is totally me. I am not afraid to go dutch, or even spring for dates myself. But the effort must be mutual. Nobody wants to be with someone who’s greedy and only thinks of themselves. That kind of attitude will not win any hearts. This song threads the needle in such a gool way, and it was so much fun to do.
