Beta Tested takes the early formula and stress-tests it. The album leans harder into contrast: Gianna’s satire and bite, James Calder’s what-if vulnerability, The Kay Tones’ glossy K-pop energy, Clint Hartwood’s country-road storytelling, Ki-T and Kā-9’s electronic mischief, Jessica’s jazz-lounge ease, Kang Lee-Jun’s glam-rock force, Anastasia’s cinematic grief, and Mateo Cisco’s inspirational pop warmth. It is playful, wounded, restless, and sometimes defiant. The result feels like the collective learning its own range in public: comedy beside heartbreak, country beside techno, and dreamy romance beside blunt emotional fallout.
