Once again, I realized I had made a gross oversight when Clint pointed out that his wife, Heather, was also a country singer and quite a good one. I hadn’t written anything for a female country singer and that was something to rectify. I had the idea, given her sassy attitude, of doing a kind of ironic look at the so-called “bad girl.” That kind of label is ridiculous in this day and age because all girls want to have fun. This thought reminded me of Cyndi Lauper’s “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” and so I used that as inspiration for “Bad Girls Need Fun Too.”

All I can say is, it’s about damn time. They let Clint have all the fun. I hope to be able to do more and more songs if they’ll let me.
